Lavender is a sweet-smelling herb which has long been used in witch magic. It is

still used to promote passion, romance, harmony, friendship, and cooperation

with a lover. Lavender’s name (Sci. Name: Lavandula Vera) derives from the Old

French word “lavandre” which literally means “to wash” highlighting its

properties as a disinfectant. Lavender as you may already know repels insects

and the dried herbs in pouches can be placed in your closet to prevent moth

from eating your woollen clothes.

Witches use Lavender in cleansing magic spells, for bringing good luck and to

attract those one loves. It is said to extend life and protect against the evil

eye.
