Tourmaline is normally black in colour.  This stone is commonly used for grounding spiritual energy and clearing and balancing all the chakras.  It is a stone that provides good protection and shields the body during meditation.

Tourmaline is thought to be for people who bear a broken heart, as it encourages love, gently disperses emotional pain and dissolves disruptive feelings.
